The first message that gets a reply
Why some openers get answered in minutes and others never do
People assume they are ignored because they are not attractive enough or not offering enough. Almost always the real reason is the message itself. A busy person reading twenty openers a day answers the ones that are easy to answer and skips the ones that are work, creepy, or pointless.
You do not need charm. You need to be clear, warm and low-effort to reply to.
What a good opener contains
Four small things, in one or two sentences: a greeting, roughly when you are thinking of, whether you would host or travel, and — if you have one — a single genuine question. That is a message someone can answer in ten seconds, which is exactly why they will.
'Hi, are you free this evening around nine? I'd come to you in Marina. Do you speak English?' — that gets answered. It respects her time, gives her what she needs to reply, and sounds like a person rather than a bot.
What gets you ignored
Openers that are all appetite and no information. A graphic list of demands from a stranger is not exciting to receive; it is a reason to block. So is haggling before hello, one-word 'hey' with nothing to work with, and paragraphs of questions the listing already answered.
Pushiness reads instantly. 'Why aren't you answering' five minutes after your first text tells her exactly how the evening would go, and she will make sure it doesn't.
- 'hey' — nothing to reply to.
- A wall of explicit demands — creepy from a stranger.
- 'What's your best price?' before any hello — starts on the wrong foot.
- Ten questions the listing already answers — reads as low effort.
Tone matters more than words
Warm, unhurried and specific beats slick every time. You are not trying to impress; you are trying to feel like an easy, pleasant person to spend an evening with. Write the way you would to a stranger you respect and want to like you.
And send once. One clear message, then let her come back to you. Patience in the first five minutes signals patience for the whole meeting, and that is attractive.
Common questions
Should I send a photo of myself?
Only if asked. An unprompted photo — especially an explicit one — is a common way to get blocked. If she wants to see who she is meeting, she will ask, and then a normal, clothed photo is fine.
Is it rude to ask about services directly?
Naming what you are hoping for is fine and normal; narrating it graphically to a stranger is not. Keep it plain and adult rather than explicit, and let the conversation warm up first.
